Brett's family has called Southeastern NC home since the 1700's, forging a family tradition nearly three centuries strong. Throughout his lifetime, Brett has been presented with many opportunities elsewhere, but has always remained loyal to this wonderful coastal community.

After graduating from college Brett was a fast-rising employee of a major international bank. When presented with the opportunity for a promotion requiring a move to another state, Brett assessed his priorities and kindly replied, "No thanks."

We had a rough closing on a house that was just not selling due to all the new building going on in Wilmington, and had an extended period off the market due to the holidays. Prior to getting a contract on the house and initially in the closing process, I felt that communication could have been improved. However, as the closing dragged on and on and on to no fault of Brett's, he was excellent at communicating with me, the buyer's realtor, the buyer's lender and all parties involved. I was extremely pleased with how he handled a very difficult closing and how he kept me in the loop. Brett made sure he did everything he could to get my house to close. Brett was/is great. His suggestions to help the house show better were right on and in no way conflicted with what I was prepared to do to facilitate the sale of the house. Our first meeting, he showed up with a notebook full of comps and was fully and professionally prepared. Brett "walked the walk" and had sense enough to know that strong relationships are built out of loyalty, honesty and doing what's right. I will most definitely use Brett again if the opportunity arises and wholeheartedly recommend him as the one of the upper 10 % of Wilmington's real estate agents.

When the house was under contract, an issue came up with a water conditioner that was thought to be a fixture when in fact it was a rental unit. When I told Brett that he and I had discussed this, he did not argue the point and took care of the matter out of his own pocket. Brett "walked the walk" and had sense enough to know that strong relationships are built out of loyalty, honesty and doing what's right. I will most definitely use Brett again if the opportunity arises and wholeheartedly recommend him as the one of the upper 10 % of Wilmington's real estate agents.

Brett and his team are outstanding. We orignally were referred to Brett Knowles thru a work associate when relocating to the Wilmington area. His knowledge of the local market was very helpful in us making our decision on the prefect home. We really enjoyed the home buying process. We have purchased many homes in the past and I can say this was not the case with other real estate agents we delt with. His client care team were very much on top of our closing process. Brett has sold two properties for me and helped with purchasing two others. I have been most pleased with his service in all respects. Both of my sales were under contract, one in two weeks and the other in three days and both closed on schedule.
