Nature lovers should be sure to add a visit to Shallotte Riverwalk Park to their itinerary. The Riverwalk features 1/3 mile of boardwalk along the peaceful Shallotte River. Each end of the boardwalk is capped off with a gazebo overlooking beautiful views of the river and marsh. Be on the lookout for egrets, herons, woodpeckers, and Belted Kingfishers.
